Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the United States. The most well-known of her roles is Skyler White in her role on the AMC series Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014. Both awards were for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series. Apart from her role as Martha Bullock and Jean Ward as well, she was a part of The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in the year 1968. She fell in love performing at the age of Preparatory after which she moved to Ohio with her family in mid-70s. She took classes at Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago-area theatres for several years. Her next move was to film and television. In 1992, Anna was offered her first big character in the role of Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. After being a guest Actor in a variety of TV Shows and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 1990's In 1992, she landed the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. In 2008 she was cast in the role of Skyler on Breaking Bad. She also starred in the Deadwood movie as well as Sully. Gunn was also on the stage to play in the David Schwimmer directed production of Sex With Strangers. Gunn was a character in the podcast's four-part audio drama called Numbered Days, which is set to be released in 2022. Breaking Bad's story is often focused on the relationship between Walter White, his wife Skyler and their strained relationship. The tension in their relationship and the ending of it all resemble the final years in Walter White's life.
